Is ICDT! Kids only helpful for schoolwork or homework?
I Can Do That! Kids teaches strategies that can be used for any challenge. Children can learn to overcome obstacles at music or dance lessons, when playing sports or engaging in other activities.
How will I Can Do That! Kids work for a child that insists, “I just can’t do this - I don’t want to try”?
A child’s attitude can change with one small success. Introduce your child to the character OBST and the Action Stars. When your child uses their first Action Star to Outsmart OBST they are on their way!
When something is not easy at first many children get frustrated.
How will ICDT! Kids help?
OBST makes comments that help a child recognize how OBSTACLES, such as getting frustrated, interfere with progress. The Action Stars provide ways for a child to overcome these obstacles and to continue to work on a challenge.
Will ICDT! Kids help a child manage time spent on homework or other activities they find challenging?
As a child becomes familiar with the actions used to overcome obstacles, these actions become part of their learning tool kit. Time can be managed more effectively.
Does a child need to be at a computer to use ICDT! Kids?
No. A child can use their Action Star cards to work on a challenge anywhere.
